THINGS TO REMEMBER

Before we leave.

Book the coast early

January is popular, so we should lock in cancellable coastal rooms once our international flights are confirmed.

Pack for both ends

Warm layers for Ulaanbaatar; light clothes, temple outfits, sun protection and a dry bag for Thailand.

Booking order

International flights first, then domestic flights, rooms, ferries and finally the tours we really want.

Don’t over-plan it

Keep the 10% cushion and a little empty space. Weather and energy can decide some of the beach days.

EDIT OUR PLAN

Trip settings.

Adjust our dates, room split and working exchange rates. The saved booking links keep their original dates.

Our default assumptions: USD 1 = THB 35; THB 1 = MNT 100. These are planning rates, not live exchange rates.
